I. MANUAL OPERATION
- Before turning "ON" the machine, set the Amplitude (Power) to 0 (ZERO).
- Flip the ON/OFF switch to ON - up position.
- P (PERIOD-Time) appears on the LCD panel.
- Select desired PERIOD (up to 39 minutes) by pressing numbers.
- Press ENTER, when desired PERIOD shows on LCD panel.
- F (Frequency) appears on the LCD panel.
- Select desired Frequency by pressing numbers.
- Press ENTER, when desired Frequency appears on LCD panel.
- Apply Electrodes.
- Press RUN and turn up the Amplitude to the desired level. The Frequency will cease when the set Time has elapsed.
- After pressing RUN, if desired, you can press PULSE.
- When the selected PERIOD has elapsed, the RED indicator light will go OUT and the Frequency will cease.
- IMPORTANT! Turn the Amplitude Down to 0 (ZERO) as soon as a Frequency is completed. ALWAYS DO THIS!
- For the next Frequency, press RESET and repeat the above Steps.
- If a wrong key is pressed, a short beep is sounded.
- Press CLR (CLEAR) or RESET, if a wrong key is pressed.
- If you enter a Time longer than 39 minutes, the set Time will be 39 minutes.
- To abandon a Session before the set Time has elapsed, press STOP or RESET.
II. PROGRAMMING A SEQUENCE INTO MEMORY
The BioTec2000 has 8 memory channels, with 17 sequences per channel.
- Begin by pressing the RESET button. P appears on the LCD panel.
- Press SEQ and S appears (resembling a 5).
- Press any number from 0-7, then press ENTER to select Channel.
- P then appears, asking you to select PERIOD (Time).
- Punch in the Time (minutes), then press ENTER to select PERIOD.
- F then appears, asking you to select Frequency.
- Punch in the Frequency, then press ENTER.
- F remains, asking for another Frequency.
- Repeat Step 7 until you have programmed all the desired Frequencies into the Channel you've been working with.
- Press CLR (CLEAR) or RESET, if a wrong Key is pressed. CLR clears only the most recent entry.
RESET clears the entire Program.
- Press MEM (Memory), when all the desired Frequencies are programmed. F becomes E on LCD panel.
- Press RESET to get out of the Programming mode. P appears. When 17 Frequencies have been entered into a Channel, E appears, signaling the channel is full and programmed.
NOTE: The PERIOD (Time) you enter in Step 5 will apply to each Frequency following in the Sequence.
You enter the Time only once. If you want more time for a Frequency, enter it more than once. For example, if you want 1550 for 2 minutes and 880 for 4 minutes, set P for 2 minutes and select the Sequence 1550, 880, 880. To re-program a Channel, follow the Steps in Section II, as if you were setting up a new Program. The old Program will be erased.
III. REVIEWING A PROGRAMMED CHANNEL
- Press RESET.
- Press SEQ. S appears.
- Press the digit for the Channel desired (0 - 7).
- Press ENTER. P appears.
- Press MEM repeatedly. In Sequence, the Time and each Frequency entered into the Channel will appear on the LCD panel.
IV. USING A PROGRAMMED CHANNEL
- Set the Amplitude to 0 (ZERO). VERY IMPORTANT!
- Press SEQ. S appears.
- Press the Digit for the Channel desired (0 - 7).
- Press ENTER. P appears.
- Press RUN. The Time is displayed.
- Press RUN again. The Frequency in use is displayed.
- Apply Electrodes and turn up the Amplitude to a comfortable level.
NOTE: Skip the next 3 Steps (8 - 10) if you have the "Slow Start" Physician's Model.
- Turn the Amplitude back to ZERO when the first Frequency is finished.
- Press RUN to start the next Frequency.
- Turn up the Amplitude to a comfortable level.
- You may press STOP at any time to abandon any Frequency.
- Turn the Amplitude back to ZERO.
- Press RUN to start the next Frequency in the Program.
- Turn UP the Amplitude to a comfortable level.
- When the last Frequency in the Sequence is complete, the RED indicator light will go OUT and the Frequencies will cease.
- Switch the Frequency Instrument OFF. Keeping it plugged IN will conserve the batteries that support the Memory.
