Overhead transformers, underground power lines, motors (fans, ...) and/or your Computer, but particularly the older tube-type (NOT LCD) Monitor generate and emit MANY Electro-Magnetic Fields at various Frequencies and Field Strengths, which then produce Alternating Current (A.C.) Voltages in the Body, adding up to 1000 - 6000 milllivolts (1 - 6 Volts) or even MORE Volts! Researchers have found that these various A.C. Voltages are HARMFUL to your Health, because they INTERFERE with the Direct Current (D.C.) Voltages (approx. 100 milllivolts), which are being generated by the Cells in your Body as a function of their own Metabolism!

When you wear the Grounding Wrist Strap, these HARMFUL A.C. Voltages are DISCHARGED from your Body to Ground. And your Body's Cells' D.C. Voltages are BLOCKED by the .01 mfd. Capacitor from being DISCHARGED to Ground, thus ENSURING that your Body's Cells' D.C. Voltages REMAIN STABLE!

Ground Voltage - Testing Instructions:
NOTE: You should use a Digital Voltmeter for MORE ACCURATE Alternating Current (A.C.) Voltage Readings. ALL of the following Steps should be COMPLETED and the TRUE Ground (see below) VERIFIED, before following the Grounding Wrist Strap - Wearing Instructions (see below) &/or the A.C. Body Voltage - Testing Instructions (see below).
  1. Set your Digital Voltmeter on A.C. Volts, but if it doesn't have an Auto Function, you may have to set your Digital Voltmeter on the A.C. Millivolt Scale.
  2. Insert the Metal Tip on the end of the Red Probe connected to your Digital Voltmeter into the HOT (SHORT Slot), that is on a 3-wire A.C. Outlet/Strip (preferably to your left, nearby) and then insert the Metal Tip on the end of the Black Probe into the Neutral (TALL Slot).
NOTE: Be SURE that the Metal Tip on the end of each of the 2 - Probes makes contact with the Metal Blade inside of each of 2 - Slots in the A.C. Outlet, thus ENSURING an ACCURATE Reading of the A.C. Voltage! Also be VERY CAREFUL that the Metal Tip on the end of each of the 2 - Probes do NOT TOUCH each other, while being inserted into the A.C. Outlet, because a potentially DEADLY SHORT will occur and SPARKS will FLY!!
  3. Write down the A.C. Voltage, that is being displayed on your Digital Voltmeter.
  4. Repeat Step 2, testing the HOT (Slot) and the Ground (arch-like hole).
  5. Write down the A.C. Voltage, that is being displayed on your Digital Voltmeter.
NOTE: The A.C. Voltages MUST be the SAME for BOTH Tests, ENSURING that the Ground, being used for your Grounding Wrist Strap, is a TRUE Ground, and that this TRUE Ground has NO EXTRA A.C. Volts! If you find that there is a DIFFERENCE in the 2 - A.C. Voltages, then please call me (Tom - 614/237-2590).

Grounding Wrist Strap - Wearing Instructions:
NOTE: ALL of the following Steps should ONLY be done after COMPLETING the Ground Voltage - Testing Instructions (see above).
  1. Plug the Banana Plug on the end of the 5 ft. Coiled Cable into the Ground (arch-like hole) on the 3-wire A.C. Wall Outlet or A.C. Power Strip.
  2. Lift the Latch on the side of the white Plastic Holder on the Wrist Strap, and adjust the Elastic to your own Wrist Size, and then snap the Latch back into place.
  3. Push/pull the Wrist Strap onto your left Wrist and then turn it around, so that the inside Metal Plate is against the Skin on the inside of your left Wrist.
  4. Open the Alligator Clip on the other end of the 5 ft. Coiled Cable and place the round opening (NOT the teeth) onto the Metal Stud of the Wrist Strap and then release the Clip.
  5. Remove the Wrist Strap with the Alligator Strap attached from your Wrist, when you're finished using your Computer or being around ANY other HIGH Electromagnetic Fields.
NOTE: If you desire, you can DISCONNECT the Alligator Clip WITHOUT removing the Wrist Strap, so that you can RECONNECT it, when you want to GROUND your Wrist Strap again at a later time.

A.C. Body Voltage - Testing Instructions:
NOTE: ALL of the following Steps should ONLY be done after COMPLETING the Ground Voltage - Testing Instructions (see above).
  1. Turn your Computer "ON".
  2. Place the Metal Tip of the Red Probe, which is connected to your Digital Voltmeter, onto the Metal Stud of the Wrist Strap with the Alligator Clip NOT connected.
  3. Insert the Metal Tip of the Black Probe into the TRUE Ground (see above).
  4. Write down the A.C. Voltage, that is being displayed on your Digital Voltmeter.
  5. Place the Metal Tip of the Red Probe of a Digital Voltmeter onto the Metal Stud of the Wrist Strap with the Alligator Clip CONNECTED.
  6. Insert the Metal Tip of the Black Probe into the TRUE Ground (see above).
  7. Write down the A.C. Voltage, that is being displayed on your Digital Voltmeter.
NOTE: You should see that the A.C. Voltage is MUCH LOWER (ZERO to 200 millivolts), when the Wrist Strap is connected to the Coiled Cord and to the TRUE Ground (see above)! You can also see a MUCH LOWER A.C. Voltage by turning your Computer "OFF" and repeating the above Steps 2 thru 4.
